Welcome!

My name is Beth, and I am a documentary wedding, family, and lifestyle photographer.  I take pictures because my brother set up a darkroom in our basement when we were kids, and I learned early on the magic of capturing and preserving moments in time. Life moves quickly, so it's important to put bookmarks in the slices of it that we want to keep coming back to. Photos help to ground us and remind us what’s most important. 

I shoot mostly in a photojournalistic style. I'm driven by relationships, I love telling stories, and I'm fascinated by human beings. Photographing weddings and families allows me the perfect opportunities to hunt for the meaningful exchanges and serendipitous events that make life so delightful. I’m happiest with a camera in my hands, and I feel it’s truly an honor to be designated storyteller of someone’s important life events and relationships.

I recently moved back east from San Francisco after 16 years so I could be closer to my family (including the love of my life, who I met while shooting a wedding in Mexico.) It was hard to leave a place as stunning as Northern CA, so I spent a year traveling the country in a camper van with my dog before settling down again. If you’re considering doing so yourself, I HIGHLY recommend it. Now, I feel so lucky to call beautiful Rhode Island home. New Englanders are the most welcoming folks I’ve ever lived amongst!
 
Because I'm new to the area I'm offering discounted rates for wedding photography so I can fill up my calendar. Wedding packages start at $3100. Special pricing available for off-peak times and smaller events such as elopements. I also photograph families and pets when they’re not at weddings.
